Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj diagnosed with vocal chord cancer, undergoing treatment in US
After India's batting star Yuvraj Singh recuperated from cancer, his father and former Test cricketer Yograj Singh has been reportedly diagnosed with cancer. According to a report in the Indian Express, he is learnt be undergoing treatment in a hospital in New York, after a surgery to remove a tumour in his vocal chords.
It is learnt that Yograj had been diagnosed with the cancer a few months back, but was advised to go to US after his voice choked and he developed breathlessness.
During the 2011 World Cup, Yuvraj had played a pivotal role in India's victorious campaign. His astounding all-round performance during the quadrennial event earned him the 'Player of the Series' award. However, the aggressive southpaw was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in his left lung and underwent chemotherapy in US.
